Certified Mediator and Parent Coordinator dedicated to helping families
Founding Member, Ratner Law, P.C.
With more than twenty years of legal experience, Ms. Ratner focuses her practice on Divorce Mediation and Parenting Coordination, helping families resolve conflict with empathy, fairness, and respect. She brings both legal and practical expertise to guide parents through separation and co-parenting, prioritizing the best interests of the children and emphasizing communication, cooperation, and child-centered solutions.
Ms. Ratner is a Certified Mediator through the Center for Mediation & Training and a certified Parent Coordinator through the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC). Her extensive litigation background and experience representing children in custody and matrimonial proceedings give her unique insight into the interpersonal, financial, and procedural dynamics that often arise in family conflict.
Ms. Ratner has served as Attorney for the Child in custody, visitation, guardianship, abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency, and PINS proceedings. She has also been appointed as Court Evaluator and Counsel to Alleged Incapacitated Persons (AIPs) under Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge, assessing capacity, evaluating needs, and safeguarding the rights of vulnerable individuals.
Earlier in her career, she litigated a wide range of complex civil and family matters—including legal malpractice, elder law, commercial disputes, restrictive covenants, contract claims, securities fraud, civil rights, and personal injury—in both State and Federal Courts. This depth of experience allows her to anticipate challenges and provide practical, informed guidance for families navigating separation or co-parenting disputes.
